The Binky Fairy

Well we decided it was finally time to get rid of the binky forever! Kate's been pretty attached...she only uses it during naps and for bed time...but is was time to say goodbye. Here's some pics of her getting ready for the "fairy".

One binks

In the bucket they go...

We had to transfer the bucket to another bag to be able tie it outside

Alright, let's do this!

All tied up and ready for the Binky Fairy.

This is our first attempt to go to sleep...the crib fairy also came that same day, so no binkies and the ability to get out of bed on our own was a new adventure. Let's just say from this first attempt to the last took about two hours :) Oi!

Kaitlyn woke up that morning and she beelined it for the backyard. Where low and behold the VERY bike she had been wanting for the past couple of weeks was...

right in her very own back yard!

She loves it....the second night was much easier. We are very proud of our little Kate!

Getting to know Connell!

Here's a view from the street of a place we're thinking of renting. The home is in Basin City about 14 miles outside of Connell. It's next to a large cherry orchard. We're learning this is a great place for fresh produce. Yum!

Shot of the kitchen.

Family room.

The seminary building is right across the street from the high school. We met a few of the students everyone was very nice and welcoming. It'll be a fun place to work!

Here's a view of us coming into the city. We haven't spent a lot of time discovering Connell yet, but what we've seen we love and we are excited to be there!

Finally an update!

It's been a crazy few months! Lots and lots of "life" going on. We are very excited about our new CES assignment to move to Connell, Washington to teach seminary! It will be a new place for both of us and we're excited for the adventure. We've heard great things about the area and the people. We'll be moving there at the end of June. Here is a link to see where Connell is: http://maps.google.com/maps?rlz=1T4SKPB_enUS393US393&q=connell+washington&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x5498c18006c65bf1:0x7d69d883bfe94896,Connell,+WA&gl=us&ei=gGLQTZebEJTGsAP82_zhAg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCcQ8gEwAA

Picture of Joey and Kaitlyn handing out Valentine's at seminary! The other big news is that:

We're 16 weeks! We're looking forward to next month's ultrasound and will keep everyone posted! Other than that life is just full of fun...Kate is full of 2 year old energy and keeps us on our toes. We have surely been blessed!

Christmas Day!

I had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas day. On Christmas eve I went to temple square with my mom and dad. We looked at the lights.

Then we came home and I opened a present. It was pajamas. Then me and mom got a plate of cookies for Santa ready and I left a key for him to come in the front door because there is no chimney and no snow.

Christmas morning I got up and ate breakfast in my parents room. We had pop tarts and egg nog. I ate a little of the pop tart, but not the whole thing.

Then we went down stairs and I opened some stockings that Santa left me and one from my grandma and grandpa williams too. I skyped with my family in Oregon. It was fun to see them. Thanks for all of the great presents!

I broke into my parents stocking and started pouding chocolates. They were so good.

Then we went over to my great-grandparents house for brunch. I gave them a present. It was fun.
Then we came home and my parents gave each other some gifts. It was fun to help them open them, but the presents were boring for me.

My mom gave me a piggy bank. It is cool and I love it.
Then we went over to see my aunt carly, aunt Jenny, Uncle Jeff and Uncle Spencer. We ate pizza, played games and they both gave me a present. Thanks everyone! Merry Christmas!

Trick-or-treat

I went trick-or-treating with my mom, dad, aunt bev and uncle spencer. We crashed a trunk or treat cuz I'm too little and it was too cold to go outside. It was much easier. After 10 minutes, I had a bad full of sugar! Happy Halloween!
