Hey Diddle Diddle

So this week Kate and I have been talking about cows. We've been learning the nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle". She just about has it down pat. Her version goes like this:

Hey Diddle Diddle
The cat and the fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon
The little dog laughed to see such a sport
And the dish ran away with the "fork"

Then she just laughs and laughs. (She knows full well it's suppose to end with spoon). It's so funny!

Labor Day "Fishing"

We had a really fun Labor Day morning exploring Washington. Here's a few pics...

Kate being cute!
Out on the dock...that's the Snake River behind us.
Dad trying his hand at fly fishing
Wow, he caught something, but I'm confident that does not qualify as a fish.

In the jailhouse, not sure what we did...but here we are. Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Swimming & Caterpillars!

Swimming lessons were so much fun!

I learned how to blow bubbles...

This is Ms. Dorothy, she was a great teacher!

Kick, kick, kick...

At the end of lessons I got a special certificate and a blue popsicle!

Part 2 - The amazing Caterpillar Craft!

Yes, her outfit changed...let's just say the glue got a little wild!

We'll need some eyes...

A little color...

I love it!

Voila!

The Binky Fairy

Well we decided it was finally time to get rid of the binky forever! Kate's been pretty attached...she only uses it during naps and for bed time...but is was time to say goodbye. Here's some pics of her getting ready for the "fairy".

One binks

In the bucket they go...

We had to transfer the bucket to another bag to be able tie it outside

Alright, let's do this!

All tied up and ready for the Binky Fairy.

This is our first attempt to go to sleep...the crib fairy also came that same day, so no binkies and the ability to get out of bed on our own was a new adventure. Let's just say from this first attempt to the last took about two hours :) Oi!

Kaitlyn woke up that morning and she beelined it for the backyard. Where low and behold the VERY bike she had been wanting for the past couple of weeks was...

right in her very own back yard!

She loves it....the second night was much easier. We are very proud of our little Kate!

Getting to know Connell!

Here's a view from the street of a place we're thinking of renting. The home is in Basin City about 14 miles outside of Connell. It's next to a large cherry orchard. We're learning this is a great place for fresh produce. Yum!

Shot of the kitchen.

Family room.

The seminary building is right across the street from the high school. We met a few of the students everyone was very nice and welcoming. It'll be a fun place to work!

Here's a view of us coming into the city. We haven't spent a lot of time discovering Connell yet, but what we've seen we love and we are excited to be there!

Finally an update!

It's been a crazy few months! Lots and lots of "life" going on. We are very excited about our new CES assignment to move to Connell, Washington to teach seminary! It will be a new place for both of us and we're excited for the adventure. We've heard great things about the area and the people. We'll be moving there at the end of June. Here is a link to see where Connell is: http://maps.google.com/maps?rlz=1T4SKPB_enUS393US393&q=connell+washington&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x5498c18006c65bf1:0x7d69d883bfe94896,Connell,+WA&gl=us&ei=gGLQTZebEJTGsAP82_zhAg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCcQ8gEwAA

Picture of Joey and Kaitlyn handing out Valentine's at seminary! The other big news is that:

We're 16 weeks! We're looking forward to next month's ultrasound and will keep everyone posted! Other than that life is just full of fun...Kate is full of 2 year old energy and keeps us on our toes. We have surely been blessed!
