A few additions...

Joey and I had fun with some arts and crafts over the weekend. It took us awhile to find everything at Michael's. Let's just say we will not intentionally be visiting that store again anytime soon.

Kaitlyn's room is getting cuter.

The beginning of a nursery...

Kaitlyn's room is coming along slowly but surely. Joey did a great job putting the crib together. I'm sure Kaitlyn will enjoy her new stuffed animals from Grandma and us: a cow and a giraffe. They are so cute. Only 75 days left!

Trip to Oregon for Thanksgiving

Susan making whipped cream. She was in the kitchen the whole weekend mostly. The food was delish. Thanks to Andrea and Kevin for moving out and giving us their bed and to dave and susan and all for organizing the house to find room for us.
Checking out the selection of Thanksgiving Pies, made by Susan and Andrea. Great for diabetics.

Amy and I trying out dave's smart car. Cool little toy.

Something we are not used to seeing having lived in Utah for the last year or so...green trees.

This picture was probably taken in Idaho where I was seriously thinking about turning around.

DeAnna doing what she could to entertain herself. I think she might have chipped a tooth on this apple.

Here is Spencer making the best of the trip. Little did he know how his Beavers would fare.

Utah 95 Oregon 81

All Ute fans will be pleased to hear me say along with all of you, Congratulations to the Utes for handing the Oregon Ducks a Men's Basketball Loss tonight. I am happy about this result and look forward to the next time I can route for the Utes....the next time they play Oregon in some sport.

On another note, my lovely wife has forbid me from making our family blog a sports commentary/trash talking/sports score zone any more. Maybe someday I'll have enough time to have my own sports blog. Until then, Go Beavers, Go Utes when they play the Ducks, Go anyone who plays the Ducks and Victory for the US Men in their upcoming year of world cup qualifying.

I bid you farewell.

Wow Cougars....Wow.

I can't believe the egg that Maxi Pad Hall laid in Salt Lake City on Saturday. I was hoping for something a little better than that. Now I can only hold onto the hope that Utah will get slaughtered when they face Alabama, Florida or the likes. The sad part is I have to listen to Ute fans tell us how awesome they are for the next 6 weeks or so.

On a brighter, almost scary note, the mighty beaver nation again found a way to win, even after our kicker, Mr. "Justin-case you think I'm good...I'm not" Kahut found a way to miss an extra point that my dear grannie could have made and leave us trailing by one. He did come back to redeem himself though, and hit the game winning field goal as time expired.

I would call Samuel T. Stroughter the player of the game for some amazing catches that kept us in at the end. I think if Kahut had missed the field goal as time expired, Spencer, my brother would have gotten in his car, driven all night to Arizona and personally saw to it that Kahut was murdered. The game did a number on our collective blood pressure to say the least.

We are one win away from going to the Rose Bowl to face Penn State.... again...hopefully this time we might show up and play like we are not in Middle school.

Go Beavers. Go Utah's opponent in their bowl game.

US Mens Soccer vs Guatemala 2-0

Here's our whirlwind trip to Denver for the US Soccer Match against Guatemala. We left Salt Lake at 6:30 am saw the game and made it back to Salt Lake by 5:30am. It was a quick trip, too quick, but we had a great time. We saw some sweet goals and had fun bantering with the Guatamala fans :)

Go Cougars!

I have genuine concern for Ute fans and don't want to see their inflated heads blow up any more and pop. I was listening to two the other day on trax talk about how they think Utah is legitimately underrated. I almost choked on my sugar-free diabetic lollipop. I guess with huge wins against powerhouses like Michigan, Utah State, UNLV, Wyoming, San Diego and Colorado State....oh wait, those teams have a combined record of 20-43. And I can't believe the way they blew out 4-8 New Mexico, running the score up on them 13-10.

Their only legitimate win came verses Oregon State (tied for 1st in a down year for the Pac 10 right now), my team that notoriously chokes on the road anyway and at the time was playing with a record of 1-2. They should have beat us handidly and got lucky that we choked at the end and gave the game to them with a PI call in the endzone. It's kind of like when they got lucky against TCU when that large magnetic forcefield kept two winning field goals out for the Horned Froggies.

I do have to commend Utah on their no loss record. It's tough to do in any conference. But I wish someone in Utah would admit they are OVERrated, too highly ranked and play cupcake teams and do not deserve to be in a BCS bowl game, just like other "underrated" teams like Boise State.

GO COUGARS! GO BEAVERS!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

It has been a fantastic two years for us and we want to thank all of our family and friends for your love and support. To show you all our gratitude, we'll give you a niece/cousin/grandkid in March. Hope you like her!

It's a girl!

This was the only picture we could get to come out clearly from the ultrasound. It's a girl hand...not sure if it's right or left. She does have all four limbs, a beating heart, two kidneys and everything looks great so we are grateful for that. We're excited to have a girl coming to our family. Joey will put in for a boy next time.

CHEESE

I bought this cheese at costco. It was such a deal...I practically stole it. And it's orange too for Halloween and Oregon State.

Beaver Nation Report

Well, the depression is starting to lift after the terrible game in SLC. The Utes did not deserve to win, but the Beavers did not deserve to win either. We've since gone 2-0 and are 3-1 in the pac 10. From here on out all I have to say is go Cougars and let's hope the Utes slip up. I know...I'm just a hater. Oh well.
