"Blow-outs"

Kaitlyn has been really crabby today. Uncharacteristically so...due to some extra grumpiness it took a bit longer to get out of the house and out to church. We arrived during the middle of sacrament where we patiently waited until we could take our seats. Kaitlyn started making some interesting noises that could only be attributed to one thing....diaper change! After sacrament I quickly whisked her away to the mother's lounge to change her. I set her on the changing table, looked down and to my horror my white polo shirt was covered in poo! I was mortified! Kaitlyn had it everywhere. I cleaned her up, changed her into her emergency clothes, rinsed my shirt as best I could and strategically placed the diaper bag in front of me in a attempt to cover up a very unfortunate mishap. I gave Kaitlyn to Joey grabbed the keys and went home to change. Ugh!

A few minutes after arriving home Joey called and asked me to come back and pick up Kaitlyn. She screamed during the remainder of sacrament meeting. She did the scream...stop breathing...scream routine. Needless to say she has had a rough day! Welcome to parenthood :) We love it!

Poor little thing . . . and poor mommy! What parent doesn't go through that! I'm sure Kaitlyn had a good reason to cry and carry on or she wouldn't have done it; she's usually so pleasant. She's probably hurting somewhere. That's tricky to try and figure it out. But that's what you do. It's a mystery isn't it? Good luck! I hope she's feeling better. (Maybe she just needs her grandma . . . and try bleaching your shirt, Amy.)
